Welcome to 'The Cotswold Book Nook' Reading Groups, your once a month escape for light-hearted book discussions, enjoyable conversations and a lot of laughter. 

Join me, and fellow readers in Gloucester, as we explore all types of books. We meet once a month in independent cosy coffee shops and cafes at the heart of the community.

My Bookish Mission

Hi, I'm Jane the Founder and Host of The Cotswold Book Nook Reading Groups.

I aim to create a welcoming and enjoyable gathering for everyone who shares a love of reading.

Once a month I host my two Reading Groups in cosy coffee shops/cafes in Gloucester, the heart of the local community. One group meets on a Monday morning and the other on a Wednesday morning. A new third group starts on Monday 22nd June 2026. 

I gently facilitate my Book Clubs in a way that makes all of my members feel included and listened to. I offer you a welcoming space where you can discover new perspectives, authors and genres, engage in fun and lively conversations and make new friends.

Currently my Reading Groups are free, all you pay for is the price of a beverage and possibly the cost of your book. However, it should be noted that from April 2026, a small PAYG charge will apply to NEW members joining either of my existing groups and also joining my NEW third reading group in June 2026.

There are WhatsApp Groups for all Book Clubs to keep you up-to-date. There is also a private Facebook Group.

These Book Clubs are only open to Over 18's.

What makes my Reading Groups different?

We don't all read the 'same' book.

You can choose our reading theme if you like. 

There are no £10 per month subscription charges,

(Note: monthly £3* PAYG starts from 1st May 2026 for new members joining an existing Group or for members joining my NEW June Longlevens Group). 

My WhatsApp Groups and Social Media will keep you up-to-date with useful information such as meeting dates, reading themes, author events and social events. 

*£3 plus a small booking platform fee.
